CHEMICAL PROCESS AND THEIR TYPES

Back in sixth or seventh grade, we might have studied the chemical process and types. If you have pursued your career in a different stream other than science, then you won’t remember any of it now. A process involves the change of chemicals or chemical compounds through chemical reactions is known as Chemical process. It takes place when two compounds come in contact with each other. This contact could occur naturally or could be stimulated by the help of any chemical agent. During the chemical process, the chemical composition of the chemicals or materials would get modified.

What are the types of chemical processes?

Photosynthesis:

Photosynthesis is a process where the plants convert carbon dioxide and water molecules into food and oxygen. The plant absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen for humans and animals. The photosynthesis reaction takes place in the presence of sunlight, and it results in

6 CO2 + 6 H2O + light → C​6H12O6 + 6 O2

Anaerobic respiration:

Anaerobic respiration takes place in the series of chemical reactions which involves the gaining of energy in the absence of oxygen. Whenever you had back from heavy workout or exercise, your muscle would undergo anaerobic respiration in the absence of oxygen. The process could be explained as,

.C6H12O6 → 2C2H5OH + 2CO2 + energy

If you consider the anaerobic respiration occurs by yeast and bacteria, then it would lead to the fermentation process further results in the production of ethanol, carbon dioxide. This reaction is applied to the manufacturing of cheese, wine, beer, yogurt, bread, and other baking products.
